A foundation for families in transit

We build bridges where systems collapse.

Since 2019, the Impact Bridge Foundation has helped 4,200 families cross borders, find each other, and rebuild what displacement broke apart.

Mission
"The world counts borders. We count the people separated by them. The Impact Bridge Foundation exists to walk alongside families displaced by conflict, climate, and economic collapse — and to make sure the journey across does not end the family they were."

Our Work

The bridges we build.

Three programs, run by local teams in seventeen countries. Each one is a stage of the journey families navigate when displacement separates them.

Trace

Family Tracing & Reunification

When borders close and records vanish, we find. Our field teams use legal channels, partner networks, and trauma-informed interviewers to locate separated relatives — and bring them back into contact, on the family's terms.

Cross

Safe Passage & Legal Aid

Crossing should not cost a life. We coordinate legal representation, transport, and shelter for families navigating asylum, transit, and resettlement — at no cost to the family, ever.

Rebuild

Long-Term Family Stability

Reunion is the beginning, not the end. We fund local partners providing housing, schooling, healthcare, and livelihood support for the first 36 months after reunification — the window where most families either anchor or break apart.

A Story

Three years. Two countries. One bridge.

A mother holds her daughter at a community gathering, 2023.
Tegucigalpa · April 2023

When the route closed in 2021, the family of {{Maria Santos}} was split between three shelters in two countries. None of them knew the others were alive.

Our field team in {{Tegucigalpa}} began tracing in April. By June, we had confirmed all six were alive. By September, we had moved {{Maria}}, her three children, and her elderly mother into a single household for the first time in two years.

The legal process took fourteen months. The family is now permanent residents. {{Maria}} works as a community health promoter. Her daughter, {{Camila}}, started ninth grade this fall.

This is one of 4,200 stories. There are more on the way.

"My mother and I sat at the same table again. After two years, I had forgotten what her voice sounded like over coffee."

How to Support

The bridge holds because people hold it up.

Four ways to support the work. Recurring gifts are the spine — they let our field teams plan beyond the next month, beyond the next news cycle, beyond the next political shift.

Monthly Giving

The Crossing Circle

A monthly gift, starting at $25, that funds the daily operations of our family tracing teams.

One-Time Gift

A Single Bridge

A single donation, applied to the family in our queue who has been waiting longest.

Corporate & Foundations

Institutional Partnership

Multi-year commitments from companies and foundations that match the timelines our families need.

Legacy

Estate & Planned Giving

Include the Foundation in your estate planning. We provide all necessary documentation in coordination with your legal advisors.

Accountability

What we publish, and why.

Every dollar that enters this foundation is traceable, reported, and audited.

Stay With Us

A quarterly letter, written by people who have read it before sending it.

Four times a year, we send a longform letter. One reunion story. One field update. One question we are still wrestling with. No urgency tactics. No marketing automation. We read every reply.

We send four letters a year. You can leave at any time.

If you can hold a bridge, hold this one.
